INN: romiplostim
Romiplostim is an Fc-peptidylated protein (peptide antibody) involved in signal transmission and activation of intracellular transcription by binding to thrombopoietin (TPO) receptors and inducing an increase in platelet formation.
The peptide antibody molecule consists of the Fc fragment of human immunoglobulin IgG1, in which each single-chain subunit is connected by a covalent bond at the C-terminus to a peptide chain containing 2 TPO receptor-binding fragments.
Treatment with romiplostim results in a dose-dependent increase in platelet counts.
Stimplate® promotes a sustained increase in platelet count similar to the reference medication.
GENERIUM is the first company in Russia to develop and produce a biosimilar of romiplostim.

Adults:
Stimplate is indicated for the treatment of primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in adult patients refractory to other treatments (e.g., corticosteroids, immunoglobulins).
Children:
Stimplate is indicated for the treatment of chronic primary immune thrombocytopenia (ITP) in children one year of age and older who are resistant to other treatments (e.g., corticosteroids, immunoglobulins).
